Tips on Turning Leads into Bookings

Tips on How to Turn an AdventureMatch Customer Inquiry into a Vacation Sale

 

 

1.    Email or call the person immediately (based on their listed communication preferences).

 

2.    If you call, make sure to not call too early or late in the day based on their time zone (time zone clocks)

 

3.    Customize your response and pitch based on their information.  Really read and understand their wants and needs before selling.  Answer all their questions and concerns. 

 

4.    Follow-up in one or two days if you have not heard a response via both email and phone.  Mail a brochure if they have requested one and let them know it was sent.

 

5.    Track your sales:  We recommend using a CRM / customer tracking system to track customer contacts and sales, and determine the return-on-investment of our program (and all your marketing programs). 

 

6.    Note:  The customer may call you first as we forwarded your company description and contact information in our email to the customer confirming their inquiry.  Make sure all your sales and service reps know about AdventureMatch and our program.  Make sure to add @salesforce.com (our inquiry routing system) and @voyagetrek.com emails to your safe sender list on each computer and email program so inquiries don’t end up in your junk folder.

 

7.    Manage Your Expectations:  Some people won’t call you or respond to you at all.  We have priced this lead referral program so you can still be very profitable at a modest 7 to 10% rate of converting these leads to vacation sales.  Over time and with better marketing and sales responses to our leads, you should be able to get this rate above 10% and possibly up to near 15 or 20%, but don’t expect to make a sale most of the time!  You should find these conversion rates to still be great return-on-investment.
