Chattooga
The 40 ft. Climbing Wall at the Chattooga River Rafting Center is perfect for groups and families The wall is outfitted with an auto-belay system, which will gently lower you when you are ready to descend to the ground. Pair this activity with sometime on the whitewater of the Chattooga River. There are three rafting trips available (full and half-day adventures), one for all levels of whitewater experience.
Canoe and kayak clinics are also an exceptional way for an adventurous couple to spend the day together. Wildwater provides all necessary equipment, including a personal instructor for the pair.
Spend the night in our pond-side cabins on the property at the Chattooga Rafting Center, For the die-hard nature and adventure lovers, we have available the Chattooga River Overnighter. White Grizzly Adventures’ focus is on steep terrain, as much as nature allows, while keeping you and the rest of the group safe on the mountain. Think 900 metre (2800 foot) runs of 40 degrees!

The largely northeast facing (perfect aspect for powder snow) mountain we ski is unnamed, and is situated in the spectacular peaks and high snowfall Goat Range of the central Selkirk mountains of British Columbia. There are now over 80 runs both ski- and snowboard-friendly offering primarily north and east facing slopes that are protected from exposure to sun and wind. Most runs are huge: 900 metres (2, 800feet) long, and we average six runs each day. Quality of terrain comes first, and we guarantee more vertical than anyone else! The terrain has incredible variety, with three massive alpine bowls, epic steep powder chutes and gladed fall line tree skiing and riding offering endless enjoyment. About 50% of the terrain consists of steep tree runs.

Our guides are intimitely familiar with both skis and snowboards so they are very conscious of the particular concerns of each discipline (i.e. line choices, pointing out fun terrain features, and letting the riders know when to “point it”).

Each day we travel the short trip (20 kms / 13 miles) along the majestic Lardeau River in a convoy to the staging area. Then we leave from the valley bottom (550 metres or 1, 800 feet above sea level) and arrive at the top of our first run at (between 2, 250 and 2500 metres (around 8, 000 feet). We have an area of 25 square kilometres (12, 000 acres, of which 7, 000 are currently skiable) available for fun. This represents the area of Whistler/Blackcomb combined for the exclusive use of our clients (12 people or less per day).

The Alpine Lodge at White Grizzly Adventures is situated at the north end of Kootenay Lake, 2.5 hours from Rossland, two hours north of Nelson, 40 kilometres north of Kaslo, just outside the small mill town of Meadow Creek, BC, Canada. Located 20 kilometres from our steep and deep powder cat skiing terrain, the log lodge is an intimate, quiet, and super comfortable home-away-from-home for skiers and snowboarders in the winter.

The cozy log lodge nestled in a forest features great room with stone fireplace, outdoor hot tub, 5 double or triple occupancy rooms with private bathrooms, full service ski shop and massage therapy, hearty gourmet French Canadian homemade meals to make you "cat fat".
